The holiday season is upon us which means big feasts and quality time with loved ones. Who doesn't love leftovers? Be sure you keep it safe this holiday season by following the leftover safety tips below!
1) Refrigerate leftovers within two hours to prevent bacteria from growing on the food
2) Store leftovers in shallow pans (4" or less) or containers to decrease cooling time. This will help prevent food from spending too much time at unsafe temperatures (between 41 °& 135 °F).
3) Do not store stuffing inside a leftover turkey. Always remove stuffing from the turkey and refrigerate stuffing and separately.
